Do you accept insurance, and what is the cost of sessions?
I am in network with BlueCross BlueShield IL. My insurance policy and session rates can be found here.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
Your first appointment is our first opportunity to connect to one another. We will spend time going over what is bringing you to therapy, as well as discuss your goals and priorities for working together. The first appointment is designed for you to get to know me as well, and I am happy to share as much or as little about my background and approach as you would like. If you are unsure of what your goals are, that is perfectly fine! We can figure it out together.
What do I need to do before my first session?
I will send you a few intake documents to complete prior to our first meeting. You can share as much or as little detail as you want. This helps me have an idea of what you are hoping for and can help me prepare to best support you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life is busy and things come up! I understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you give me 24 hours notice. A fee of $95 will be charged for any late cancelled appointments or no shows.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
We can do either! My office is located in Batavia, IL in the Western suburbs of Chicago. If you prefer face-to-face therapy, in person is great. If you are anywhere in the state of IL, we can meet virtually. I can be flexible and change sessions to virtual or in-person with a heads up depending on what is most convenient for you.
